The Eyes

Behind every wall and frame,
There are oceans of faces
Looking, searching,
But never finding.

The exploration is thorough,
As if they are hunting a thief
Who was reckless
And stole the Hope Diamond necklace.

The precious jewels
Are nothing but tools.
They are social norms,
Rules to control
Everyone and everything
As a consolidated Whole.

The Eyes, the Eyes,
They are everywhere.
Gazing, staring,
Judging, gleaning,

Until all information is absorbed
By cameras guarded by lasers.
This spectacle will end
When the defenses are disarmed,

When all of us have been brainwashed,
And believe there is no cause for alarm.
